PS3 Automating the Grading of Excel Assignments with ExPrep

Abstract

Excel is a widely used tool among professionals, and proficiency in Excel is highly valued by employers. However, many instructors hesitate to incorporate Excel into their courses because grading Excel assignments can be challenging. In this session, I will share how I overcame this challenge by automating the grading of my Excel assignments on the ExPrep platform. Instead of waiting for manual grading, my students can now submit their Excel files on ExPrep and receive their grades and feedback instantly. Moreover, they can attempt each assignment three times so that they can improve their work based on the feedback they receive from a previous attempt. I will talk about how to create and edit assignments on this platform and how it works. I will also cover how it can be integrated into MyClasses Canvas so that students can access their assignments with a single sign-on and their grades can be imported and synched automatically.
